Southerly Road Adventures

Spring break called for a road trip, so away we went.
Last year Chris and I took the coast up north to Point Arena, this year we traveled down the coast all the way to Newport Beach.  I've uploaded a few images that I found most inspiring, enjoy!

There were bushes of these pin cushion flowers all over Big Sur.
Their design amazed me!

We stumbled upon a spirit nest at an outdoor {spiritual, colorful, beautiful, otherworldly, theatrical} amphitheater
in Big Sur.

I am a lover of wild flowers...this is at The Top of the World in Big Sur- we were above the fog in our own secluded heaven.

Left: I've heard that a hawk feather finding is an offering~  Right: Simple melodies from Chris's Backpacker's guitar.

A view from above the fog

Chris shot a sequence of me running towards him, this is one of them.

We ended up camping out in a field of wild flowers our
first night, it was incredibly peaceful~
Room with a view.

Willow Creek Beach- we stopped for a potential surf,
but left uninspired.

Jalama Beach, a forgotten part of the California coast.  You must check this place out, it is by far the most serene camping I've done.

A day at Newport Beach {Chris finally got his surf in}.

We found Verve coffee {specific to Santa Cruz and a personal favorite}
at a shop on State Street in Santa Barbara.
A shot to get us back on the road and back home, xx.

Happiest at Terrace Drive with our chocolate lab, Olive.
