These Beautiful Doors

I've never loved an old piece of wood as much
as these rusted patina boards.  Chris salvaged
the marine wood from an old bait boat that was
destroyed in the tsunami off the coast of Japan.
Its been sitting in our yard, waiting for a project
worthy of its beauty, until I realized they would
make perfect doors to lead into our front yard.

The orange and blue compliments are to die for!

Another project complete, brought to you by The Alibi Interiors.

LinkedIn Collaboration

We've been very blessed to team up with
LinkedIn, and this is our third project
we've collaborated with them on {a fourth
project is underway!}.  We've designed
and constructed a reclaimed wood wall
for the cafe at their headquarters in
Mountain View.  We additionally worked
alongside an expert in vertical planting
where we fabricated reclaimed wood
borders for year round plants to live in,
and act as an art piece.
LinkedIn's staff has been absolutely
lovely to work with, especially my
friend Lauren Ng Pinkerton, whom we
owe this opportunity to!

Check out the photos below, and stay
tuned in for our next project with
LinkedIn.

Measure twice, cut once.

The wood borders are an exclamation point to the already
highlighted living walls.  The red plants came together to make a beautiful
chevron design, which will change with the seasons {i.e. poinsettias during Christmas}.

Chris happy and surrounded by his wood element.

Notice the light green moss on the lower left boards,
complimenting my green jacket of course..!

A panoramic of the finished product,
and we're very happy with the turn out.
