A N T H O L O G Y

A pretty collection of the flowers
found around our home in Aptos.

I've started hang drying each bouquet,
using certain ones for cooking {rosemary}
or baking {lemon rinds or lavender}.  Combined,
they create the sweetest scent in our kitchen.

Cinco de Mayo Inspired

Cinco de Mayo !

The Mexican army's unlikely
victory over French forces at the
Battle of Puebla- May 5th, 1862.
Now you know.

Chris just got home from two weeks
spent in Mexico (Salina Cruz and
Puerto Escondido) and brought home
with him beautiful textiles- a table cloth,
a rug, placemats, napkins, and a
beautiful hammock.  These photos are
from Sunday, May 5th, and are very
much Mexican inspired!

My favorite thing Chris brought back: the table cloth.
Its woven design is intricate and unique.

This was our Sunday morning breakfast spread- Farmer's market fresh :)

Our front porch area was in need of a bit of color, so Saturday I spent an hour at the paint store with mi mama and found the perfect orange.
Painting is truly the easiest way to make a wonky flea market find into a dreamy little outdoor breakfast table!

Hamaca !  Or, my new favorite reading spot.
I plan on cozying it up with a few throw pillows.

Chris enjoying the 'holiday.'

Here's a peek of a few other weaves Chris
brought back.

Gahh I adore them!  They add the perfect
touch of pattern and color to our home.

A pretty little Mexican tile I snapped a picture of in a restaurant bathroom.
A friend and I went out for margaritas {duh} and I couldn't resist
taking this image home with me for color inspiration!
